Inhoud
Het fenomeen Islamitisch bankieren heeft de afgelopen jaren een opmerkelijke groei doorgemaakt in een tijd waarin de conventionele financieringswereld te kampen had met de naschokken van de financiële crisis.
Ook in Europa heeft Islamitisch financieren inmiddels vaste voet gekregen, waarbij Londen in het bijzonder sterk ingespeeld heeft op deze markt. Met de opkomende globalisering en een markt van 1,5 miljard potentiële klanten is het voor veel banken ondenkbaar om deze markt niet te betreden.
Desalniettemin blijft Islamitisch financieren een tamelijk onbetreden terrein in Nederland. Dit roept verschillende vragen op betreffende deze innovatieve financieringsvorm. Wat is de rol van de Islam binnen Islamitisch financieren? Kan Islamitisch financieren een reëel alternatief bieden naast het huidige financiële stelsel? Wat zijn de internationale potenties van Islamitisch financieren en in hoeverre kan Nederland als financieel centrum daar een rol in spelen?

Sprekers
Diverse sprekers zullen tijdens dit symposia op deze vragen ingaan:

Mr. Mulleris a member of the Tax practice group of Loyens & Loeff (L&L). He focuses on structured (asset) finance, project finance, investment funds and (renewable) energy. He is a core member of the Islamic Finance team and our chairman of the day.

Presentatie Mr. Niels Muller

Professor dr. Visser, Emeritus of International Economics, Money and Banking, at VU University, has published several articles and books on Islamic finance.

Presentatie Prof. Dr. Hans Visser

Mr. Salahis a PhD Candidate and Lecturer on Islamic Finance and Corporate Finance, with an expertise in sukuk structures (Islamic bonds) under Dutch private law. He has several publications on Islamic Finance. His practical experience covers the Islamic Banking Practice in a City-based law firm in London.

Presentatie Mr. Omar Salah LLM

Dr. Schoonjoined the Bank of London and The Middle East (BLME) as Head of Product Research. She began her career in Islamic Finance whilst working in Bahrain, Kuwait and Dubai during the 1990’s. Ms. Schoon holds a PhD in financial analysis and is an accredited trainer for the Islamic Finance Qualification which she teaches globally.

Mr. Rozendal has expertise and practical experience in structuring various real estate investments in the Netherlands in accordance with Islamic financial principles, including investments for one of the largest Islamic Real Estate Funds in the world.
